Spirituality and Mental Health on St Dymphna’s Day – 15 May 2013

Dear Readers… This is to let you know about an event to be held on 15th May 2013 at 5-8pm at Room E32, John Dalton Tower, All Saints Campus, Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester.

The event will have a focus on spirituality and mental health and will be held on St Dymphna’s Day (15th May). For those not familiar with St Dymphna, she is the patroness saint of the mad (SEE IMAGE BELOW – the image is from Depresso, a graphic novel by Brick/John Clack; www.makingwaves.org)

On 15th May there will be talks (followed by discussion)  by Rufus May, clinical psychologist and psychiatric survivor ally (he will be talking about spirituality, voice hearing and mental health), Ian Parker, Marxist critical psychologist, and others including theologians.
As you can gather, this is NOT a religious event.

Please come along and /or circulate to your networks.

Regards
Dina
