In this talk, Jim Geekie will share some of his experience working in the area of ‘psychosis’ and based on this will consider some of the implications for how we go about the business of making sense of and relating to the experiences we refer to under the umbrella term ‘psychosis’.

Brief bio: Jim Geekie
Born and raised in Edinburgh. Worked in Scotland, England and New Zealand. Family history of psychosis, which may help explain why this was the area I was drawn to. I’ve worked for many years in Early Intervention for Psychosis services in New Zealand and England. I have also published in this area (‘Making Sense of Madness’, Routledge 2011; ‘Experiencing Psychosis’ Routledge 2013).
