Free Online Event 16th Feb 2021: Exploring Universal Basic Income’s Potential to Improve Mental Health with Prof Matt Smith

Prof Matt Smith has invites everyone to engage with his free online event on the 16th of February 2021:

Exploring Universal Basic Income’s Potential to Improve Mental Health’ is a series of six half-day online workshops, funded by the Scottish Universities Insight Initiative as part of its series on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

In order to investigate the relationship between financial insecurity and mental health, our workshops present the views of people working in mental health, people involved in designing and participating in Universal Basic Income pilots, students and people with lived experience of mental health problems.

Our goal is to inform Universal Basic Income pilots planned for Scotland and elsewhere about the need to assess mental health outcomes.  During this workshop, the participants from our storytelling workshops will share their experiences with people working in mental health, UBI advocates, researchers, policy makers and politicians.
